Enclomiphene Citrate is the synthetic trans-isomer of clomiphene citrate. Unlike the racemic mixture (which contains both Enclomiphene Citrate and zuclomiphene), Enclomiphene is characterized by its purely antagonistic properties at the estrogen receptor. In laboratory models, it is used to study the upregulation of endogenous gonadotropins without the confounding estrogenic effects of its cis-isomer counterpart.
